The short version: ProcWatch monitors your Mac locally and phones nowhere with your data. The only party that ever handles your personal information is our payment provider, at checkout, so your order can be fulfilled. The rest of this page spells that out.
1. The ProcWatch app
Everything ProcWatch records — process names, CPU readings, alert history — is stored in a local database on your Mac. There is no cloud sync, no account, no analytics SDK, and no telemetry. Your monitoring data never leaves your machine, and we never see it.
The app makes exactly two kinds of network calls, neither of which carries your monitoring data:
- License verification — the app confirms your license key with Dodo Payments' licensing service (sending the key and a device label you choose, nothing else).
- Update checks — the app checks procwatch.app for new versions via the standard Sparkle update feed.
2. Purchases — Dodo Payments
Checkout is operated by Dodo Payments, our payment processor and merchant of record. When you buy ProcWatch, Dodo Payments collects the information needed to process the order — your email address, payment details, and billing country — on its own infrastructure, under its own privacy policy. Your card details never touch this site or our servers.
We receive from Dodo Payments the basics of the order (your email address and order reference) so we can provide support, resend license keys, and honor refunds. We don't use your email for marketing and we don't sell or share it with anyone else.
3. This website
- No analytics and no tracking scripts run on procwatch.app.
- No cookies are set.
- Fonts and all assets are self-hosted — visiting this site triggers no third-party requests.
- Clicking "Buy ProcWatch" takes you to Dodo Payments' checkout page; from that point Dodo's privacy policy applies.
- Like most hosts, our web host may keep standard, short-lived server logs (IP address, requested URL) for security and operations.
4. Emails you receive
The only emails connected to ProcWatch are transactional: your receipt, download link, and license key from Dodo Payments, and replies from support when you write in. There is no newsletter and no marketing list.
5. Your rights
You can ask us to delete the order information we hold, or ask what we hold, at any time — email [email protected]. For data held by Dodo Payments (payment records they're required to keep), their privacy policy describes your rights and how to exercise them.
6. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated date. The core promise — local monitoring, no telemetry — is the product's architecture, not a setting, and is not going to change.
